Saturday September 9th - 10am to 4pm.
New Court, Marlow.
A last chance to visit this prestigious Victorian mansion in the centre of Marlow, designed by a former president of RIBA. Access to the impressive ground floor rooms and exhibitions about the history of the building and the life and times of Nesta Liston, the last private owner and a generous benefactor to Marlow.
The house lies at the hub of the Marlow Conservation Area. the concept of conservation areas was introduced in 1967 by the Civic Amenities Act, so it is particularly appropriate to hold this event in the 50th anniversary year.
The event was presented in conjunction with Marlow Museum, the Marlow Remembers World War 1 Association and the Marlow Archaeological Society, all with interesting and informative displays in the house library room.
Opening by courtesy of Lennox Estates.
All welcome. Free of charge.
