Film Studios Development Update

There has been a major new submission from Dido. A new hearing before the special planning committee is expected to be in late May or early June.
As of today’s date of the planning meeting depends on National Highways submitting their opinion. Bucks Highways have recommended refusal due to significant traffic congestion and the lack of a credible transport plan.
On 19th February 2024 Dido , the Film Studio developers made major amendments to their planning application; reference the Buckinghamshire Planning Portal ( 22/06443/FULEA). There are now nearly 5, 000 submissions of which the overwhelming majority are in the negative.
This revised submission will need to be considered in detail by Bucks Council and in particular by National Highways. The main area of focus remains changes to the Westhorpe junction proposed by the developers. We are urging that Bucks Council re-obtain independent advice on both the transport and economic aspects.
It is now expected that the planning committee will reconvene sometime in the Summer.
