Due to ownership changes at key properties in Marlow it has not been possible for the Society to organise Heritage Day visits in Marlow this year.

The English Heritage national theme for 2018 is Extraordinary Women
A real treat this year as we offered the extensive grounds of this lovely house and art gallery. The house was the residence for many years of the prominent artist and suffragist Mary Sargant Florence, friend and confidante of many in the famous Bloomsbury Group. We celebrate the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote, with exhibitions about the suffrage movement, notable women of Marlow, and Mary Florence herself.
In addition visitors could wander the grounds and enjoy the beautiful sculptures and views of the valley beyond.
There were also guided walks to the trenches on Marlow Common as part of our commemoration of the final year of the Great War.
