In Memory - Jan Caddie (1942 - 2021)

 Jan Caddie ( 28th May 1942 - 6th July 2021 )

Jan Harris (as she was then) grew up in Frieth and went to school in Hambleden and Maidenhead. She worked for Hyundai in Wycombe using databases in the distribution management of new cars to dealers, and this led to a keenness for computer work and research. In particular Jan was for many years very involved in family history research, offering services and advice to local groups such as U3A and to individuals.

Jan always spent most of her spare time in voluntary service, first as a Guide Leader in Marlow, then later as membership secretary of the Marly Twinning Association. She was a mainstay of Marlow Museum right from its very beginnings and was a leading member of MMTTA. Jan was also involved in her local Neighbourhood Watch.

Jan provided support to the Marlow Remembers WW1 project and has been a member of the Marlow Society for over 30 years.

Sadly Jan died unexpectedly at Wexham Hospital on 6th July 2021 and she will be very much missed in our local community.
